UNC Solely Focused on Billy Donovan

UNC is still looking for a coach after missing on Michigan’s Dusty May and Arizona’s Tommy Lloyd, and CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander says Chicago Bulls coach Billy Donovan “is open to the possibility” of taking the job. The Field of 68’s Jeff Goodman reported UNC is “solely focusing” on Donovan. UNC fired Hubert Davis on March 24. Donovan won two national titles at Florida before jumping to the NBA in 2015. He won’t discuss future jobs until the Bulls’ regular season ends April 12, while the transfer portal opens Tuesday and the signing period starts April 15. Chicago also missed the postseason for the first time since 2021, with Marc Stein reporting “pressure mounting” on the Bulls’ front office.
