Steve Kerr Wants Yaxel Lendeborg Better Defensively

Yaxel Lendeborg scored 26 points, hit 6 of 11 threes, grabbed nine rebounds and handed out five assists in the Warriors' 131-122 loss to the Suns on Saturday. With Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Draymond Green and Al Horford out, the rookie led Golden State in scoring. Devin Booker scored 43 for Phoenix. Steve Kerr still wants more from Lendeborg on defense. Kerr said Yaxel's weak-side awareness is "very poor" and said his size should make him one of the Warriors' best rim defenders. After his comments about Luka Dončić, opponents will be happy to test him in pick-and-rolls.
