Stephen Curry Scores 29 In Warriors Return

Stephen Curry returned from a 27-game knee injury absence with 29 points, but the Warriors lost 117-116 to the Rockets on Sunday. His 30-foot buzzer-beater rimmed out. Kevin Durant, who scored 31, said he was nervous watching it fly. Curry came off the bench, shared the floor with brother Seth Curry, and played 29 minutes after an initial plan for about 24. Golden State is 36-42 and almost locked into the 10th seed, so Curry’s ramp-up is all about the play-in next week. Steve Kerr said Steph “looked amazing” against Amen Thompson and believes the Warriors are back in the fight with him available. Anthony Slater reported Curry is likely to play three of the final four regular-season games.
