Pelicans Eye Darvin Ham For Coach

The Pelicans are looking at Darvin Ham as a possible full-time coach, Jake Fischer reports. James Borrego is also expected to get a shot at keeping the job after taking over when Willie Green was fired following a 2-10 start. New Orleans is 26-54 and headed for its third missed playoff run in four years, with another lottery pick likely coming in the 2026 NBA draft. Ham went 90-74 in two Lakers seasons, reached the Western Conference Finals, and is now Doc Rivers’ lead assistant in Milwaukee. The Pelicans need a coach who can build something real around their next wave of talent.
