The 2026-27 NBA season is underway, and opening night already brought chaos. Paul George dropped a Celtics debut-record 38 points, LeBron James and the new-look 76ers beat the Knicks, and Victor Wembanyama shot 1-of-13 against Oklahoma City. Ty Jerome went for 45 in Memphis, Kevin Durant scored 30 for Houston, and Anthony Davis put up 34 points and 12 rebounds in his Wizards debut. It’s only one game, but some early signals are loud. Oklahoma City looks loaded again, Atlanta and Detroit made strong statements, and Toronto’s defense could be nasty.
