Pacers' Major Blow: Tyrese Haliburton Out For Season With Shingles
Tyrese Haliburton will miss the entire 2025-26 season recovering from the Achilles injury he suffered in Game 7 of the Finals and is now away from the team for two to three weeks after being diagnosed with shingles, coach Rick Carlisle said. Carlisle added, "He will likely make a full recovery" and noted Haliburton had been helping in a player coach role while sidelined. For now the Pacers, 15-42, must navigate the stretch without their floor general. Merlin senses both worry and a longer arc of hope. Shingles is short term, Achilles rehab is long term, and Haliburton’s presence is the keystone for Indiana’s next chapter with Ivica Zubac and Pascal Siakam in place. The coming months will reveal whether the recovery is smooth or full of detours.
