Luka Doncic Drops 52 in Lakers Win

Luka Dončić dropped 52 points and 10 assists as the Lakers beat the Jazz 132-123 on Sunday. He made eight threes, nearly matching Utah’s entire roster, which hit 10. Lauri Markkanen led Utah’s push, but Los Angeles got enough stops to move to 3-0. Utah fell to 1-2, though its offense showed real life against a Lakers team that needed Dončić’s huge night. Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg shot 4-of-13 and missed all his threes, but he contributed elsewhere. The Lakers host Portland on Tuesday, while the Jazz host Memphis on Monday.
