LeBron James Reflects on NBA Retirement

LeBron James says he wants his NBA retirement to feel like a celebration, not a loss. He told Melissa Rohlin of the California Post that he wants to celebrate the moments, the love, and everything he’s put into the game. LeBron is averaging 21.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 7.0 assists in 44 games, but hasn’t said if he’ll return after his Lakers contract expires this summer. There’s still speculation about a Cleveland return, with ESPN’s Tim MacMahon reporting “rampant speculation” about a reunion and possible farewell tour. But Dan Woike of The Athletic says people around LeBron don’t know what he’ll decide. For now, the Lakers are 37-25 and No. 6 in the West heading into Friday’s game against Indiana.
