LeBron James Eyes Cleveland Cavaliers Homecoming
Tim MacMahon named the Cleveland Cavaliers the "most likely" landing spot for LeBron James when he hits free agency this summer. Reports say LeBron may need to accept a "significant" pay cut, and the Lakers could be cautious about offering a max while juggling Austin Reaves and building around Luka Dončić. Cleveland already boasts Donovan Mitchell, James Harden, Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley and Sam Merrill, and could add LeBron on a midlevel deal or even the vet minimum. Merlin sees the script: a feel-good homecoming that would turn Cleveland into an offensive juggernaut and give LeBron a built-in farewell tour. The catch is money and fit. Harden’s contract and heavy ball usage complicate rotations. If LeBron prizes legacy and story over salary, a reunion is real. If he chases one more title in LA, the path splits.
