Lakers Talking Knecht Trade with Bucks

Jake Fischer says the Lakers and Bucks have talked about sending Dalton Knecht to Milwaukee, plus second-round picks, for Jericho Sims. Fischer has also heard pessimism that the deal actually happens. Rosters have to be at 15 players on Monday, and Los Angeles has 16 standard contracts, so Knecht could be waived if he is not moved. Knecht was the No. 17 pick in 2024. He averaged 9.1 points as a rookie, then 4.2 points last season. His minus 8.5 net rating was the worst among Lakers who played at least 30 games. Quentin Grimes, Jaden Hardy, and Matisse Thybulle have taken the wing minutes.
