Klay Thompson Hits First Career Late Game Winner

Klay Thompson hit a game-winning three with one second left in overtime to lift the Heat past the Clippers, 117-116. He scored a season-high 30 points, and Erik Spoelstra said Thompson is fighting “Father Time” by taking care of his body and staying in shape. It was Thompson’s first game-winner in the final five seconds of a game. Miami has won three of four after an 0-4 start, while Klay has averaged 24.7 points and shot 52.8 percent from three over his last three games. Next up is a return to Chase Center against the Warriors on Thursday.
