Kevin Durant Embracing Lesser Rockets Role

Kevin Durant scored 12 points on six shots as the Rockets beat the Celtics 109-93 on Monday, then pushed back when Houston Chronicle reporter Varun Shankar asked about his limited offensive role. Houston is winning, and Durant wasn't interested in turning a team result into a shot-count debate. Durant is averaging 20.8 points through eight games, which would be his lowest mark since his 2007-08 rookie season. Still, the Rockets rank second in offensive rating at 121.2. Ime Udoka may have found a way to keep KD fresh while Houston's offense stays dangerous.
