JJ Redick, Jarred Vanderbilt Exchange During Lakers Loss
JJ Redick and Jarred Vanderbilt had a heated sideline exchange during the Lakers’ 123-87 loss to the Thunder on Tuesday. Redick pulled Vanderbilt 16 seconds into the second quarter after he missed three straight free throws late in the first. Austin Reaves and Nate McMillan stepped in, and Vanderbilt didn’t return. Redick said, “Nothing personal with him. Normal stuff from my end.” Los Angeles has lost three straight, including two blowouts to Oklahoma City by a combined 79 points. Reaves and Luka Dončić are out for the rest of the regular season after getting hurt April 2, while LeBron James sat Tuesday. The Lakers are tied with Houston for the No. 4 seed with three games left.
🧙♂️ Merlin’s Prediction
The Lakers get healthy enough to hold the No. 4 spot, but the Vanderbilt situation will be worth watching.
