Giannis Confirms Bucks Knicks Trade Talks

Giannis Antetokounmpo confirmed the Bucks and Knicks talked about a trade. Lori Nickel of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported Giannis acknowledged the talks, while ESPN’s Shams Charania said on Oct. 7 that the Knicks were the only team Giannis would accept in a trade. New York called and spoke with Milwaukee in August, but nothing got close. The situation feels less stable now. Giannis wants to play, but Milwaukee has held him out after his March 15 knee injury against Indiana, and the NBA is investigating under its player participation policy. The Knicks could circle back this summer, especially if their postseason ends badly after last year’s Eastern Conference Finals run.
