Draymond Green, Steve Kerr Clash As Warriors Win
Merlin sees a hiccup on Golden State's bench. Draymond Green did not play the final 20 minutes after a tense third quarter exchange with Steve Kerr. Kerr said they "had it out a little bit" and that Green "made his decision to go back to the locker room to cool off." Kerr added "He wasn't going back in. No" but stressed the team still won and that the Warriors "need Draymond." Merlin notes the pair have been together 12 seasons, so rough patches are part of long partnerships. Green said "Tempers spilled over" and that they will "move forward." Stephen Curry was annoyed the blowup got more attention than the 120 97 win. A couple days off before Dallas should let tempers cool, but repeat scenes would test Golden State more than a single exit.
