Cam Thomas Waived Again by Milwaukee Bucks
Cam Thomas was waived by the Milwaukee Bucks, his second release in under two months after joining them Feb. 8. Once a 24 points per game scorer in limited action last season, Thomas saw his role shrink to 15.6 points with Brooklyn and 10.7 with Milwaukee as the Nets leaned into a younger core. Brooklyn tried to trade him but could not, and Thomas told Marc J. Spears he was "super excited and ready to actually help and contribute to another team." Merlin sees this as a stumble, not a vanishing act. Teams like the Knicks, Magic or Mavericks could use instant scoring off the bench, but Thomas needs steady minutes and cleaner defense to restore his value. A short-term signing is likely, and if he finds rhythm he can still be a useful scoring spark.
