Cade Cunningham Could Return Before Playoffs

Cade Cunningham is making enough progress from his collapsed lung that there’s “optimism” he can return before the season ends, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on NBA Today. Cade worked out on the court Monday and will be evaluated daily. He hasn’t played since March 17, when he was hurt diving for a loose ball against the Wizards. Detroit is 57-21, has clinched the East’s top seed, and has four regular-season games left before the playoffs start April 18. Cade’s 24.5 points and 9.9 assists per game would be a huge boost for a Pistons team chasing a deep run.
