Bulls Want Billy Donovan Back

The Bulls still want Billy Donovan back after firing Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley with one week left in the regular season. ESPN’s Jamal Collier reports Chicago plans to meet with Donovan after the season about keeping him as coach or in another role. Donovan also drew interest from UNC before the Tar Heels turned to Mike Malone, according to CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander. Donovan has coached Chicago for six seasons, and the Bulls made just one playoff appearance during his time with Karnisovas and Eversley. Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reported there had been tension between Karnisovas, players, and the coaching staff. With Karnisovas gone, Donovan could have more input on the next front office and the rebuild.
