"South Florida Dominates in Basketball, Hockey and Golf: The Year of the 'Cinderella Runs' Continues Unabated"

The sports world is spinning around South Florida right now! Two incredible Cinderella stories are taking place and making history!

The Miami Hurricanes and Florida Atlantic Owls were both not expected to make it deep into the NCAA tournament, but they put on an incredible show against some of the best teams in the country. The Hurricanes made it all the way to the Final Four for the first time in school history, while the Owls became only the second 9-seed to make it, coming just short of upsetting the 5-seed San Diego State Aztecs!

Meanwhile, the Florida Panthers were a huge underdog against the star-studded Boston Bruins, but they gritted out the win in 7 games and now they're dominating the Carolina Hurricanes in Round 2.

But the biggest story of all has to be Brooks Koepka, who made West Palm Beach proud by winning the 2023 PGA Championship Sunday at an unlikely 44th in the world rankings. As the article said, "In case anyone doubted the legend of playoff Jimmy Butler, well, it looks like he's absolutely for real. He's not a team, per se, but Koepka is a West Palm Beach native and he just put South Florida firmly on the sports map."
