LeBron James and Anthony Davis Struggle as Lakers Drop Second Straight Conference Finals Game
LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have found themselves in a tough situation after losing Games 1 and 2 of the Western Conference finals to the Denver Nuggets. Despite James and Davis both struggling on Thursday night, James noted that there was improvement from Game 1 and expressed his desire to keep pushing forward. "We still got to play with the same desperation as we did tonight," said James. "We came out with an L but doesn't give us any more comfort. We can't go into any postseason game with comfort."
The series now shifts to L.A., where the Lakers will host Game 3 on Saturday. They have yet to lose at their home arena between the play-in round, the first round, and the second round. Lakers coach Darvin Ham also noted that his team has faced adversity before this season, saying "I've been down 2-10, 0-5...You're never as good as they say you are and you're never as bad as they say you are."
It remains to be seen if James and Davis can put together a better performance in Game 3, but the Lakers vow to continue fighting to make a comeback.
