"Jalen Brunson's 48 Minutes Prove Too Much for Heat as Knicks Force Game 6"
Jalen Brunson put in an incredible performance for the New York Knicks on Wednesday night against the Miami Heat, leading his team to a crucial win in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series. The guard came up huge for the Knicks, notching 38 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists while playing all 48 minutes of the game. Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau was filled with pride over his star performance, saying of him, “What can you say about the guy? He's just incredible.” After getting out-hustled in Games 3 and 4, the Knicks left it all on the floor with Brunson leading the way.
The Knicks All-Star forward Julius Randle had heavy praise for Jalen Brunson, saying, “Ultimately, at the core of who he is, he's a competitor and he wants to win. So he left it all out there tonight. He carried us in a big way.” Heat guard Kyle Lowry, who also attended Brunson’s alma mater, Villanova, was incredibly impressed, saying, “That man has played 45 mins and 48 mins the last couple games. You got to give him credit for just being aggressive and continuing to attack.”
Clearly, Brunson was instrumental in the Knicks squaring the series at 3-3. Now, with Game 6 taking place in Miami, it’s all or nothing - will the Knicks be able to grab the win and move onto the Eastern Conference Finals?
