Celtics Fall to Sixers in Worst Playoff Game, Facing Elimination in Game 6

The Boston Celtics had an outburst of boos after a disappointing 115-103 loss to the 76ers in Game 5 of the playoffs on Tuesday night. Sixers stars Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey led the charge, finishing with 33 and 30 points, respectively. Jayson Tatum was the top scorer for the Celtics, with 36 points, while teammate Jaylen Brown said they simply "dropped the ball."

“We just didn’t have it today,” Tatum said.

The Celtics have been on a rollercoaster ride this series, with two hard-fought losses and now an uncompetitive blowout. Despite the series setback, Boston has been in this situation before and is no stranger to comeback narratives. Said Brown, “Last year is over with. This year we got to come out and be better than we were tonight, or we'll have a different ending.”

The Celtics will now look to make a miraculous comeback in Thursday’s Game 6, where the stakes are higher than ever. Will they be able to seize the opportunity? We will have to wait and see.
