Durant Shoves Jokic During Rocky Sideline Confrontation in Nuggets' 118-102 Win

The Denver Nuggets held on to take a 3-2 lead in the Western Conference Semifinals over the Phoenix Suns, after a 118-102 win in Game 5. However, the most memorable action of the game happened outside of the court, when two superstars got physical.

The tension boiled over with just under 40 seconds remaining in the third quarter, when Nikola Jokic and Bruce Brown approached the Suns' huddle while Devin Booker was shooting free throws. Suns' star Kevin Durant shoved Jokic out of the way, leading to technical fouls being assessed to both Durant and Brown.

“Durant was called for a technical foul after shoving Jokic out of the way,” the article stated. “Jokic, who was called for a technical foul in Game 4, flailed his arms after the contact.”

Though the altercation may lead to a fine or suspension for Durant, the Nuggets still have an opportunity to close out the series on Thursday in Phoenix as they look to advance to the conference finals.
