Victor Wembanyama Missing From NBA Draft Combine - French Star Still With Metropolitains 92
Victor Wembanyama, the 7-foot-2 French prospect, will be missing from the NBA Draft Combine later this month as his season is still ongoing. "On Tuesday night the NBA released a list of 78 prospects who will attend the combine May 15-21 in Chicago, and Wembanyama's name did not appear," reports the article. Wembanyama is still playing in the highest tier of French basketball and averaging an impressive 21.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per game.
The draft lottery, which will decide which team wins the special selection of this generational talent, will take place while he is still overseas. Meanwhile, other projected lottery picks will be attending the combine, like brothers Amen and Ausar Thompson, Brandon Miller, Jarace Walker, and Cam Whitmore. The league will also be selecting some top players from the NBA G League Elite Camp for the main event.
It looks like we'll have to wait for Victor Wembanyama to make his entrance onto the NBA stage. He definitely won't be missing from the conversation though!
