Jackson, Holiday and Lopez Headline All-NBA Defensive Team
The NBA's All-Defensive team announcement is out, and it's stacked with some of the league's most elite defensive stars. According to the results, Jaren Jackson Jr. of the Memphis Grizzlies has been named Defensive Player of the Year and is also on the first team All-Defensive team. Heading up the first team is Jackson joined by Jrue Holiday and Brook Lopez of the Milwaukee Bucks, Evan Mobley of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Alex Caruso of the Chicago Bulls. Jackson was the NBA leader with 3.0 blocks per game, earning "96 of 100 first-team votes and finished with 195 points for his second All-Defensive team selection," according to the article.
Derrick White of the Boston Celtics leads the second team, with two-time Defensive Player of the Year Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors not far behind. Rounding out the second team are O.G. Anunoby of the Toronto Raptors, Dillon Brooks of the Memphis Grizzlies, and Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat. This is an All-Star lineup of stellar defenders that will no doubt have a tremendous impact on the court this season.
